memory consumption

After importing a big opml, /update page always gives me a "Allowed memory size exhausted" error.

I can not allow enough memory since it requires 1745092609 bytes (much more than my home server has!) and this number never decreases, while no more feeds update…

Is there a way to allow update process to be iterative so that after doing multiple update, all the feeds are up to date ?
